Who am I?

Hi, I’m Heather. I'm the founder of Creative Maven, a virtual consulting firm that has been my labor of love. Over the years, I've produced thousands of events, campaigns, and experiences in the high-tech and entertainment industries. I wear multiple hats as a Principal PM Manager in the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Community Success Team for Microsoft.

Passionate about positivity

Passion is the heartbeat of my journey, and its rhythm is most pronounced in my unwavering commitment to spreading positivity. I see optimism as a potent force for change in a world often clouded by challenges. At the core of Creative Maven's mission lies a dedication to dismantling workplace toxicity, replacing it with environments where creativity can thrive. Through the art of public speaking, I aspire to amplify this message, igniting a spark of inspiration that transcends boundaries.

Supporting and uplifting women is not merely a cause I champion; it is woven into the very fabric of my existence. Witnessing the unique contributions of women brings me immense joy, and I am devoted to celebrating these achievements. Whether through the words I share in public speaking engagements, the narratives I craft in my writing, or the simple act of exchanging experiences, my goal is to inspire others—particularly women—to recognize their inherent strength and reach for the stars.

My love for travel and adventure adds another layer to the tapestry of my passions. While my professional life in the bustling city of Los Angeles keeps me on my toes, my heart yearns for exploration. Beyond the boundaries of routine, I find opportunities to share insights on Power Platform, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Technology, and the vital subjects of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at global events. Through these experiences, I believe we can foster understanding, bridge gaps, and build a world where diversity is celebrated.

Public speaking becomes the vessel through which I channel these passions. It allows me to articulate the importance of positivity, women's empowerment, and global inclusivity. Through every spoken word, I aim to kindle the flame of inspiration, encouraging others to join the journey of change, creativity, and exploration. Public speaking is not just a skill; it is the medium through which I hope to leave an indelible mark, fostering a brighter, more harmonious world for us all.

My creative roots 

My journey began in the heartlands of Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. I was an original orator on the speech team, in many musicals and plays, and sang in Show Choir at Wheaton Central High School in Illinois. Go Tigers! I'm a proud graduate of the University of Washington School of Drama in Seattle, WA, and my creative side extends to having run a fringe theater company, GREX, in Seattle in the early 2000s, being a published playwright: The Yellow Wallpaper.
